I’m still waiting for one of these un planned unassisted births to end with “The babies are both dead, and the mother bled out her whole blood volume, and no one, not you, not anyone, should even think of giving birth at home alone because you will all just end up dead, dead, dead, dead.”
No, like all of these media stories of babes being born without medical assistance, the story ended the same way they all do. “Mother and babes are doing fine.”
