Ann Responds to Republican criticisms of her joke:

“Ms. Coulter, asked for a reaction to the Republican criticism, said in an e-mail message: “C’mon, it was a joke. I would never insult gays by suggesting that they are like John Edwards. That would be mean.”

My feeling is that more than dissing John Edwards, Ann was making fun of political correctness and the various sensitivity training classes that exist as a form of Moral Rehabilitation for those of us who refuse to cave to politically correct thinking and speech. Ann is NOT a homophobe. And I support her right to use any sort of humor she feels will get her point across.
