Today I taught my Provident Living class. Three ladies attended and we had a wonderful time talking about wheat cooking and the skills that make one more self sufficient.
I always love it when a new mother comes to the class and today a dear friend came with her baby. She was so excited to learn about whole foods cooking and told me the class made it feel more do-able.
I felt the spirit strong when I talked to the women about Unassisted Childbirth. I made the decision long ago to discuss Self Sufficient Childbirth any time I get the chance to teach a class or give a talk about Provident Living. It is always nice to feel the Holy Spirit witnessing to those I teach when that topic comes up. It is truly the essence of my work on the internet and every time the spirit washes over a class when the topic comes up, I feel re-validated in the passion, urgency, and desire to share the good news of husband/wife childbirth with anyone who will listen. I think of it as planting seeds that hopefully will come to fruition at some point down the road in the lives of the families I share this good information with.
For so many families just hearing that couples are intentionally giving birth alone is motivating and empowering.

The Broomfield Choral Festival also had a dress rehearsal for the Brahms Requiem this afternoon. It sounds so good with the full orchestra accompanying. I’m excited to participate in the performance tomorow! The professional soprano soloist who was hired to sing movement 5 was amazing, and I was grateful not to have the pressure to sing that solo as we rehearsed.
After this performance I anticipate that our lives will settle down somewhat into a routine of school and church activity. Paul and I went to the first rehearsal for the Colorado Repertory Singers last thursday. We are performing the Messiah on December 2nd. This will be the first time we sing the whole piece, although we both have performed portions of it numerous times.
It is late and I need to get to bed…so g’night…
