“I mean, hand me a naturally lit home birth with a curly red-headed big sister and a doggie doula ANY DAY and it’s like Christmas. I literally *discreetly* squealed several times while shooting because is this real life? My job is so fun.
Bree was labor goddess 2.0. While I was editing, I had trouble determining what moments were actual contractions or her just resting — she’s that chill when she births babies. Her great dane went back and forth from watching mama to cuddling with every person in the room and if you know me, you know I’ll take a dog buddy at work all day all the time. The Neal’s have cultivated such a wonderful space in their home. It was warm and safe feeling immediately which allowed for a lot of freedom for her to birth her second born and me to creatively capture it. All in all, amazing day.
And as always, it was so enjoyable working with Kim and the team at Grapevine Birthing Center. I wouldn’t want to talk about the Keto diet while simultaneously stop-and-go eating Chuy’s with anyone else.”
