Health and Well Being of Baby? Or Experience? They are not mutually exclusive…
This is perhaps the most insulting claim against home birthing Mothers, that we are somehow putting the “experience” of childbirth over the health and well being of our children.
It is a tired and pathetic claim and at the risk of insulting just about anyone who has chosen to have an epidural, does ANYONE at all believe that a Mother who requests every possible pain relieving drug an OB can offer is thinking about what is best for her child while she gives birth?
The poo can be flung both ways… here is a video backing up the assertion that Mothers looking for a tranformative experience are indeed thinking about what is best for baby.
